• App Data: The books you add to your reading list (TBR), your reading status, ratings, and any other information you actively save within your personal library.

The collected information is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• To create and maintain your user account.
• To sync and save your book library (TBR) securely in the cloud so you can access it across your devices.
• To generate personalized book recommendations using OpenAI.
• To improve performance and user experience within the app.

Under no circumstances will we sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Cookies

Our application is free to use and is supported by affiliate links. Please be aware of the following:

• Amazon Associates: We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
• Apple Performance Partners: We participate in the Apple Books affiliate program.

When you click on a button to buy or view a book on Amazon or Apple Books, you are redirected to their respective websites. These platforms may set tracking cookies on your browser to identify that the visit came from our site and allocate a commission to us. • Firebase (Google): For authentication and secure data storage.
• Apple Books API: To search for book information and metadata.
• OpenAI: To generate personalized book recommendations based on your library.

Your data is stored in secure cloud databases using industry-standard encryption protocols. We have configured strict security rules to ensure that only you, while signed in with your authenticated Google account, can read, edit, or delete your personal library.

If you choose not to sign in, your data is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.

6. Your Rights (GDPR Compliance)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other international laws, you have the right to full control over your information. You can:

• Access your data: All your information is visible in your personal dashboard. You can also download your entire library at any time using the "Export" button within the app.
• Correct your data: Request correction of any inaccurate information.
• Delete your data: You can delete your library at any time using the "Clear All" feature in the app.
• Delete your account: You can request the total and permanent deletion of your account, profile, and all saved books by clicking on your username.

7. Children's Privacy

My TBR is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date.
